The Loveable Lala: Zoei Motokawa

Published on 5 July 2024 at 15:55

Greetings, Eorzeans! I'm Zoei Motokawa, a traveler and owner of the charming flower boutique, Buds & Blooms. I love exploring new places, learning everything I can about all flora & fauna, and getting into mischief with my friends. I am a lover of books and tea. You'll often catch me up either with my nose deep in tome or elbow deep in soil. I aspire to one day write my own epic stories of love & adventure. For now, I'll settle for recording my travels here.

After the adventuring calmed down and the Final Days ended, I found myself with a plethora of time on my hands. On one of my countless walks through the Central Shroud, I found a small child making flower crowns. From there a path opened; flower shop! I scrimped and saved then found the perfect little spot to set up my shop in the Lavender Beds. It took a lot of work, but finally the Buds & Blooms flower boutique was open for business.

Business picked up enough that I had to hire help to man the shop while I'm out in my garden, trading seeds and gathering rare flowers. I first hired Yhah and Zana Lyehga, miqo'te sisters that live in the neighborhood. I found them trying to pluck some flowers to make a bouquet for their friend who was having their Eternal Bonding Ceremony. After teaching them to arrange the flowers and delivering them, for free of course, to the ceremony, they stuck around. Ophianne Merthelin found me when I was searching for some frozen blooms in Coerthas. I owe her my life... but that's a story for another time. She helps keep everything running smoothly and balances the books while I'm away. These three have quickly become not just employees, but close friends. I know if and when I am called away, Buds & Blooms will keep going strong.

Speaking of called away, I am going to be leaving on a trip West. I cannot wait to see what lies over there horizon. Hopefully, I will have some more information to share soon. I'm excited for all the new flowers to find, books to collect and maybe they will have some good tea to share!

Until next time!
